Joe Lawson set up a hunt for his sons, Tim and Josh and son-in-law Doug Forbes just after Thanksgiving. Colton Wilkins and his shorthair guided them after pheasant, chukar and quail in the East and West Bottom Fields. They did great on all the big birds, with only a couple of quail escaping across Sandy Run in the big timber.

Terry Knebel and Roger Well brought out their dogs, Sadie and Timber to hunt some quail. I set out some mini-coveys in the prairie around the timber edges trying to escape some breezy conditions. The pups did a great job, they got almost all the quail and a bonus pheasant.

Mike and Chris Davis came out to hunt some pheasant. Colton Wilkins came out with his shorthair, Preacher, to find the big birds spread around the Cabin Field. Some gusty winds and wet conditions made for an interesting hunt and some fast flying birds.

Mitch and Nick Tarr invited a couple of their buddies, Caelyn Dhom and Hunter Michl to join them on an upland bird hunt. Travis Devall brought out his setter, Zip, pointer, Sadie and young brittany to guide the hunt on the Cabin Field.

Justin Kollman and Lance Litteken came out for an upland bird hunt after Thanksgiving. Steve Sanders guided them down on the South Tinkerfarm Field. Lots of rises and shooting in this video. They had a great hunt, leaving only a couple for seed in the prairie and corn stubble.

Ed and Trent Rohrer, Scott and Jack Geest, Trevor, Nathan and Kevin Dehaan and Adeline Dutton came out after Thanksgiving to hunt some pheasant. Steve Sanders guided part of the hunt over at the Cabin Field. Both groups had a good hunt, coming back with a pile of pheasant.

Alan Feezel came out with his shorthair, Harley and Bill Warix his, Whip and Romeo to hunt some pheasant and quail. They dogs did a fine job on the birds, finding them all and the hunters coming back with most of the pheasant.

Dan Crunk and Butch Spelbring came out to work their dogs on quail. I got to watch Dan’s pointer, Ellie, point a couple of quail in the Cabin Field.

Alan Harris brought out his setter, Roxy and his buddy, John Wiedman to hunt some quail and chukar. John brought along his setters, Pickle, Molly and Abby to help find and point the birds in the North Tinkerfarm field. Good dog work on the birds and they got most of their birds. I even caught a nice wild quail covey rise about halfway through the video.
