Gary McMillin came out with his friend Neysa Downs for some quail, pheasant and chukar hunting.   They picked an awesome day, high around 40, cloudy with a slight breeze.  Gary’s two German Shorthaired Pointers, Gabby and Gizmo, did a great job finding the birds throughout the Clubhouse Field.  Neysa was really on with her shooting and Gary didn’t have to back her up much.  They got most of their birds before taking a break to drop off birds and get some water.  They let some pheasant and chukar escape down to the creek, so we headed across the bottom field and the dogs found the chukar hidden along the creek bed, good dog work and a really nice hunt.
