Shane Stahvlak set up a hunt for his buddies, Reece Waddington, Seth Votava and Forrest Tardiff. Jeff Powell did the guiding in the Cabin Field. They had a nice hunt coming back with almost all their birds plus a couple extra quail.

Kevin Diekroeger came out with his old friend Todd Thoman to hunt some quail. I set some coveys around the Tinkerfarm pond for Kevin’s prize setter, Penny, to find. They had some nice rises and some good shooting, fun hunt.

John Cavaletto brought out his sharp pointer, Burl to hunt some quail. I filled the Clubhouse with quail, but by the time I got to see how the pair were doing, Burl was pointing birds in the bottom around the wells and briary thicket. They chased some quail from the point and down the ditch, knocking down a few in some nasty cover.

Dan Crunk came out with his buddies, Cletus Roy and Jackie Johnson to work his and Cletus’ dogs on quail. I set a couple of mini-coveys of quail for Dan and got to stick around for some of the action in the Cabin Field.

Brett Richson and his brittany pup, Buck, travel down from Wisconsin every week to hunt some pheasant (and do a little work in Effingham). Buck does a nice job finding the pheasant in the Clubhouse Field and the two even came back with some spare pheasant and a quail on their latest outing.

Ray and Andy Haarmann came out with their two black labs to hunt some chukar. I set some chukar around the Cabin Field and the labs found and flushed them all. They got to chase a few and wound up with some extra quail and a rooster pheasant.

Larry Jones came out with pointer, Ike and brittany, King along with Jim Robinson and his dropper, Pete. The dogs did a nice job finding the birds in the Clubhouse. After hitting all the coveys they had a field full of singles to work the dogs over.

Larry Kleiner set up a quail hunt for his friends, Phil Moreland, Doug Hayes and Bob Dasenbrock. They had a mix of shorthairs, setters and pointers to find the coveys in the Clubhouse Field. Some nice points, rises and shooting in this video.

Gary Miselbrook came out with his friend Kevin Crain and his young brittany, Duke to get some work on chukar. I set out some birds in the East Bottom Field for Duke to find. He held steady for most, waiting for the hunters to approach the point. Duke got some nice work and steadied up as the hunt went on.

Dean, Sandy and Travis Devall brought out their dogs to take Allison and TJ Hall on an upland bird hunt. The pointers and setters had a blast finding and pointing the pheasant, quail and chukar in the Clubhouse Field.
