Dave Lohmar set up a pheasant hunt for his buddies, Russ McWhorter, Christ Painter and Chuck Kellogg. Chuck brought his spinger, Raymond to find the birds I set out in the Cabin Field. I had a chance to catch a couple of the flushes by Raymond on camera. Nice day in the field for the five of them.

Ted Ellis and Alan Harris brought out their setter, Mack and Roxy to hunt some quail and chukar. I set out a few chukar in the East Bottom and later some quail coveys in the Clubhouse Field for them to hunt. I got to catch a couple of rises on camera and see the hunters down some birds.

Roger Well brought out his young lab, Timber to flush some quail for Terry Knebel, Mike Pykeman and Bob Merkel. I set out a few doubles to get Timber some work, before putting out some quail coveys in the Clubhouse Field. Terry’s shorthair, Sadie, got to join in the covey hunt and they found them all and came back some quail and an extra chukar.

Bo Baer set up a pheasant and chukar hunt for his friends, Mark Mitchell and Gary Dodillet. They picked a day with some massive south winds so I tried to stash the birds in some calmer fields. Hildy, Ava and I took the hunters through the Clubhouse Field down into the pasture bottoms finding the chukar and most of the pheasants tucked into the cover. Pheasants were a tough quarry, getting up and running in the strong breeze, but they came back with almost all their chukar.

Larry Kleiner and his friends, Doug Hays, Dave Schumacher and Bob Dasenbrock came back after a week off for another quail hunt. Lots of good covey rises on this hunt from the birds in the Clubhouse Field. Doug may have had trouble knocking a bird down on the first rise, but he makes up for it snagging a cripple out of the air. Nice shooting, good dog work and a remarkable catch in this video.

Jason Runde set up a pheasant and quail hunt for his buds, Jay Nottingham, Keith and Travis Mcclellan, Rich Borries and Nick Dunaway. They split into a couple of groups, which was a good idea to have only three hunters shooting at quail coveys. Steve Sanders guided at the Cabin Field, while Travis Devall got the honors down on the South Tinkerfarm Field. Some nices rises and good shootng in this video.

Ed and Todd Thoman came back out for another quail hunt. This time it was my turn to guide them. I set out some coveys in the Clubhouse Field for Mac and Hildy to find. A couple of nice rises and a bonus pheasant on the first round. Then Ava and Sol came out to help clean up the singles and find a few more pheasants.

Brad Diecker set up a hunt for his buds, Soap Chan and Chad Welch. I set out some pheasant and chukar in the Clubhouse Field and Sam took Mac and Sol out to find and point them. They had a nice hunt coming back with most of their birds and an extra quail Soap knocked down.

Shane Stahvlak set up a hunt for his buddies, Reece Waddington, Seth Votava and Forrest Tardiff. Jeff Powell did the guiding in the Cabin Field. They had a nice hunt coming back with almost all their birds plus a couple extra quail.

Kevin Diekroeger came out with his old friend Todd Thoman to hunt some quail. I set some coveys around the Tinkerfarm pond for Kevin’s prize setter, Penny, to find. They had some nice rises and some good shooting, fun hunt.
